What: Walking tour of the historic German community of Akron. Just in time for Oktoberfest.
When: 10AM-12PM, September 21
Where: Meet (and park) at the Thirsty Dog Taphouse
Terrain: Mostly on streets and sidewalks. The only real incline is the pedestrian walkway over the interstate.
Gem├╝tlichkeit (friendliness): All are welcome. We will be visiting local businesses where friendly dogs can wait outside with parent supervision.

1. From the taphouse, we'll head south toward the Mon Temple
2. We'll walk the pedestrian walkway over the interstate
3. Visit of Sanabel Middle East Bakery
4. Visit the Front Porch Cafe
5. Walk back north toward Thirsty Dog for some Goosetown beers

Towpath Biking Tour

What: Biking the Towpath.
Date: July 20, 2019

Meeting Location: Bounce Innovation Hub
Parking: Plenty of parking in the Bounce lot
Accessibility: This is a biking tour, so bring a helmet. Given that we're riding through Akron, there are some hills and detours, which make for some rugged cycling.

Parking: Plenty of parking in the Jednota Lanes parking lot
Trolley: We will ride the Trolley from Jednota to Amedeo's Florist for our first stop.
Accessibility: Portions of this walk, such as Jednota Lanes, are not handicap accessible.
1. After parking at the Slovak J Club (Jednota Lanes), we will take the Trolley to Amedeo's Florist for stop #1.

5. Walk to Jednota Lanes for some bowling, food, and drinks.

West Hill tiny tour

What: West Hill walking tour
Date: June 5, 2019
Walk Start: 5PM
Walk End: 6PM
Meeting Location: Tangier front entrance
Parking: Tangier parking deck or along Mt. View Avenue by Birchwood Supply, Co.
Accessibility: Portions of this walk, such as the cemetery, are quite hilly and bumpy. 
  1. Tangier—tour through some of the history and lesser known rooms. 
  2. St. Vincent Cemetery—a look into the history of Little Dublin. 
  3. Birchwood Supply, Co.—introduction to this creative maker, as well as food and drinks.
